Haha nice dad. I have been checking the mail a lot haha. Now I know why it didn't come lol. No biggy. Well I don't know if I told you I gave my first blessing in Spanish a couple of weeks ago. It was awesome. I am so glad for the spirit to guide us when we need it. And yeah, me and Marshall are going to figure things out Cmas Eve, so don't worry. You will talk to your sons. Well this month we haven't done service yet but there can always be an opportunity right? Well I am really excited to talk to yall. Got to get going now dad. Te quiero mucho adios

TO MOM

It's all good but don't send the (box) to the office no more. Send them to 9755 Scyene Road # 2119, Dallas, TX 75227 because there are problems with the forwarding as of now so just send them to my apt ok? Well this week was alright again. And just another thing - can you send me another memory card cuz I only have one right now and it is getting full. But yeah, so we might call or we might skype. We don't know yet but we are still working on it still, but me and Marshall are going to call and set something up ok so we can talk as a family. Well this week we are going to have a baptism this Sunday which is way sweet. He is a nine year old kid but he knows his stuff already. Well that is crazy to know that Garin is back. Time is flying so fast. Marshall is at 18 months; I am almost at 8! O my gosh it's loco. Well I figured you would be put in the RS sooner or later, but I guess that is just where you are needed haha. 12-13-10 To Mom

Well thank you very much (got some money). That will help me alot, and mom, can you get (cousin) Austin's email for me so I can tell him congrats. Well, that is sweet that you are already making all those good treats and if you can you know your son Elder Ricobueno loves mommy's caramels :) Well this week we went to the temple and it was amazing. I love that place; it is so great to know that there is a place to get away from everything. Well that is odd that you are once again sick and I know you told me not to say it haha. Well I am your son and I love you :)))))))) big grin. Well, really other than the temple nothing much really happened here. Oh nevermind - last night we went to a choir thing and they did really good. I can not remember the name of the choir but they were amazing. Well right now I am chatting with my brother Marshall. This is the first time that has happened haha! Well I am excited for Christmas and I bet you are all as well and I can't wait to talk to all of you and I was wondering what Steven and Shayanna are doing for Christmas cuz I do want to talk to her as well so I can talk to my whole family and me and Marshall are going to call each other so we will be able to talk :) Well I got to get going mom. To Dad

Well it is about the same temp here or colder(50 degrees). It is really cold here and I don't know why, and no I have not sent them (broken shoes) back. Do I have to pay to send them back? I don't know. I have never done this before. Sorry but I will send them back and I would love to talk to yall as long as I can as well. Oh and another thing - what is your number and the house number cuz I don't know but I do know your skype thingy and we will see if any members have skype. But yup, this week was great. We had a training and we went to the temple again, LOVE IT. It's an amazing place and I can't wait until after the mission to go a lot more than now. But yeah, I will probably call Marshall cuz I don't know if I will be getting transfrered cuz it is four days before Christmas so I guess we will have to see. Well I got to get going soon. Catching up again...

12-06-10 to Dad

Well we watched that last night as well (The First Presidency Devotional). It was really good. I love listening to the prophet speak especially about the savior because whenever someone is speaking about the savior you can feel the spirit and when the prophet is speaking you know that he receives direct revelation from God about the things he says, so i love it :) And I was thinking about if you could set up a time for me and Marshall to call at the same time cuz he is only one hour ahead of me and Ii am 2 ahead of you, but I would really love to talk to my whole family at the same time and I can't wait to talk to you and mom in Spanish but I will warn you because I have been in a mostly English area - my Spanish isn't at the full capacity it could be but it is really good for being in an English area jaja but I guess you will just have to see about that and I will let you be the judge. Well this last week has been getting really cold. This morning at about 11 it was 35 degrees so it is getting there but then again you are way up north and I bet it is way cold up there huh. Well this week we are planning on going to the temple on Wednesday so I am super pumped; I love going and just sitting in the celestial room. It is just the most spiritual place to go and especially when things are getting tough in the mission you just need to get away from the world and what better place to go than the temple right and we are also having a training on Friday so this week should be pretty good and fast. Well as far as updates in the mission me and my comp are teaching 3 great families and 2 of them we have committed to baptism and they said they would but one of the families is going on a vacation so it will have to be later than we expected but it's all good. Well nothin really exciting happened this week; well we did fix a flat tire for someone that was stranded on the road so I am glad that I knew how to do that haha. Well got to go paps. Love you. To Mom

Well speaking of food, I was wondering if you could get the recipe for bisquits and gravy haha cuz I miss that lol. Well I am glad that Miles and Jordan are having fun and getting ready to go on their missions. I think it will be good for them. I think that Miles is going to go to the Mexico City Mission haha. That's just what I think lol and Jordan is going to go to the Dallas Texas Mission :) Well I justed looked on google maps and found out that the house is less than a mile from church. That is pretty cool and only 15 minutes or 4 miles from the temple in a straight shot anyways haha. Well we did actually have a service thing this week - we were on our way to get some food and we saw someone with a blown up tire and they had the worst car jack in the world and like a half hour into trying to get the car up someone stopped and let us use her jack and we fixed it in like 2 minutes. It was cool and it made me feel good helping someone. Well I was just remembering something from last year and remember when dad got a GPS for Marshall? Well I think that would be an awesome birthday gift because sometimes we do get lost haha. And another thing if you could send a bit of money for laundry cuz every week I spend about 5 dollars on laundry so if that is a possibility that would be a great blessing especially since I don't have a lot of money. Well I told Dad that we are going to go to the temple again and I can't wait. That is like my favorite place to go and I can't wait after the mission cuz we live so close that I want to go like once every 2 weeks. I love it. It is such a spiritual place. Thanksgiving Week

Well it sounds like yall had fun over there in the cold. It was cold down here as well. It was like this Monday 70; Tuesday 70; Turkey day was like 45-50 - it just dropped so cold that day but I guess that I can't complain, huh? Oh well. I guess I just got used to the heat here. Well I did get the shoes from the office on Tuesday and they are really nice. Thank you very much; and another elder that is going home soon said that he will give me his shoes when he leaves so I think that I am going to be good for a while. Well this week for Thanksgiving we were at a member's house and after dessert we were helping him try and kill squirrels that built a nest in his pecan tree and they gave me a pitch fork to throw at the squirrels and I missed. Ii was so close; the member was just laughing the whole time because the squirrel jumped out of the tree and almost hit me in the face. And we had the best ribs I have ever had; he cooked them for 9 hours and the meat was so tender and it tasted great. Well this week was a little slow for us because of the holidays but it was good. We found a couple of great people to teach. Another cool experience that we had was with the stake president and the mission president. We were in a meeting for 6 1/2 hours and the majority of the time we were just talking about Lehi's dream and how it is tied into temples. It was so spiritual and amazing. We all learned so much. I thought that my head was going to explode because of all the info pouring into my head. Well that was about it for this week. I hope you all enjoyed turkey day with the whole family. Fun Week

Well this week was fun we had 7 people at church and the 3 most solid ones were out of town so we would have had TEN at church that would have been so cool but i am hoping and praying that they will all be able to make it next week, well the mission right now has over 200 baptismal dates, INSANE huh we were told that the only way that we can achieve the goal of 950 we need to set dates with all of our investigators that are progressing so that is what we are doing me and my comp have four dates but are planning on having a lot more in the near future i am just worried about being tranfered the next transfers because there are a lot of great families that dont have dates yet and i dont know if the will be ready by the 21 of december so i am hoping to stay here in this area for 7 1/2 moths of mi mision and i dont want to get transfered 4 days before christmas no seria bien para mi jaja pero si el senor me necesita en un otro area que bueno :) well that was pretty much the highlight of this week and ill let you read the letter to dad because it is in your email and its in spanish jaja well i got to get going now mommy i love you muchisimo adios

Well i have not gotten the shoes yet, which carrier did you use because if it is not usps they cant forward it to me and if that is the case i have to wait until the ZLS go to zone leader counsil but i will get them eventually jaja, and yeah i am a bit bummed about turkey day just cuz i know that moms food cant be beat to me but its no biggy , and another pregunta lo que tango es piensen que pudieran darme poquito dinero por causa de lavandaria y yo ne tengo dinero hacerla pero si pueden seria bien, pero gracias por los zapatos va a ayudarme mucho aqui, pues como dos dias atras mi companero y yo estabamos andando en nuestros bicis y vimos dos hombres descansando en su camineta entonces hablamos con ellos y dijeron "ustedes son mormones" y dijimos si y dijeron no querremos escuchar a ustedes no mas pero hablamos sobre el libro de mormon y porque lo tenemos, y la importancia de profetas apostales en estos tiempos y ellos estaban como quisas este es bueno para nosotros entonces mi companero y yo totalmenti cambiado sus mentes sobre los mormones fue un experiencia muy suave, el espiritu fue en la presencia de nosotros muy fuerte. pues tengo que ir mi padre hablare contigo en el proximo semana adios te amo mucho

no se si tenia suenas en espanol todavia o no me recuerdo haha , pero ahorita estoy leyendo el libro de mormon en espanol y tambien yo he empezado hablando mucho mas porque puedo entender mas que antes en mi mission pero todavia es dificil a veces y tambien no tengo un casco todavia pero voy a comprar una manana cuando tengo tiempo depues la reunion de distrito, y tambien yo pienso que no he orado mas que 30 veces en mi mission en ingles porque es mas facil para mi orar en espanol y tambien cuando oro en ingles empieza hablar en espanol y entonces tengo que empezar mis oraciones otra vec en ingles haha, y ahora estoy estudiando en muchas coasas, predicad mi evangelio, LDM, aprendi que tenemos que ser mas obedientes y siempre vivir digno tener el espiritu o no vamos a tener el espiritu cuando ensenamos y sin el espiritu nada va a pasar pero tengo que ir mi padre suerte con so trabajo esta semana adios papa te amo

well i am still in the grove, aka my greeny area and i think i might get transfered the next one or the one after that, well i did get the package and i was wondering if yall ever found my ties or are they lost forever, that is so cool that austin got his call can you ge me his email para que pueda escribirle that would be cool well my new companion is elder clyde he and i get along way good i like him i think we will be good together, well whad 8 people at church, funny expiriencesome of our investigators got in a fight and i dont think that we will ever see 2 at church again so thats that and then after dinner that day me and elder clyde, (my new companion) both threw up because we had eaten so much and then we felt better and then we are at now not a lot has happened this last week i did go to my first zone conference which was way awesome i learned a lot, i learned that if we dont use our priesthood we will never know the mysteries of god and that really stuck out to me because i guess that told me that i need to use the gifts that i have been given haha who woulda thunk lol well the only thing left is that i still have 2 very crapy pairs of shoes and they are falling apart the one i dont even wear anymore because there are holes in the bottom and the ones i got from mr mac the wolverines have a crack in them so i was wondering about that because i do NEED some new shoes and i was thinking about eccos because they will last forever, because everymissionary that is going home soon has never had problems with their shoes and they have eccos and they still look new so that is what i want for christmas as well haha j/k but i do need new shoes and eccos are way nice ( hint hint) well that was pretty much que ha pasado este semana pues i got to go now adios mama talk to you next week

thats cool did you all enjoy the message that he shared with yall, and that is just weird to think that delbert is moving on with someone else but i guess thats what hes got to do now. well not much has happened again this week transfers are tomorrow and i will be getting a new comp so i am kinda excited to see who it is going to be. yeah i know it is so crazy how shayanna and steven ya han sido casado por 1 ano its crazy, yeah i know time flies way quick i burnt a tie and i remembered watching marshall burn a tie and i remember that video really clear its pretty insane how time flies, and yes i have been taking my vitamins but i need to take them a lot more than just like once a week, yeah money sometimes is a blessing especially when it makes your life easier and i still have to pay for laundrey and get some more bike stuff, i need to buy a new tire already because i have a gash from a piece of glass its like 1/4 inch long and the guys at the shop said that i need a new one, i know i am a problem child sorry. well i am going to kill off another elder, elder astle is going home on wed so hes kinda sad and excited but i think that he will live haha well i got to get going now mom i love you tons

ok first off i am having a ton of problems here i only have one pair of pants that are not from my suit so my suit pants are wearing out already, my 100 dollar shoes from mr mac have a crack in the bottom of them from one side to the other so i was wondering if you could get a hold of shane to talk to mr mac guy and see if i can return them and maybe get some other ones, and remember that recipe book you gave me with all the recipes in it i lost that and i was wondering if you could get me another one of those and my red plaid jacket as well and a little money because i still have to pay for laundry and dry cleaning and we dont get enough money to pay for that with the money we get every month well thats about it for my complaining :) this week was alright right now there is a thunder storm its awesome haha i love thunder and lightning, haha sounds like you are all still having a ton of fun over there with everyone lol, this week we are having 3 intercambios so its going to be a good week haha sosmetimes i just need a break from my comp and i love working with the othe elders, well not much else happened here in texas except for the fact that the cowboys suck and the rangers lost haha well i got to get going now love you a ton mommy have a good week

hello everyone well this week was a crazy week but a good one, first off to start the week we played volleyball on p-day with the whole zone for the first time it was fun the next day i went on an exchange so i was in a car and boy are cars nice when you have been on a bike for all your mission so far, the next day was a good one me and my companion are heading down a hill to pick up our dinner and i was about to cross the street and a silver dodge magnum kinda got in my way and i was going probably about 25 MPH and i slammed into it and put a big old dent in it with my body, it was quite the experience and i got up i was fine but the kids across the street were laughing pretty hard so i got my bike and went to the side of the street and the lady was freaking out like i was going to die or something and she kept asking if i needed to go to the hospital but i was fine, but her car wasn't, it had a dent the size of a computer monitor so i guess you can say that i took down a magnum haha because all i got out of it was a little scratch the size of a dime and a sore body for 2 days and after the accident we called the dinner appointment because we were late and he told us to hurry up which was weird because i just got hit by a car or i hit it either was but we hopped back on our bikes and headed to dinner, by the way this lady that was driving was on the phone when i hit her so it was all her fault. so that was the main highlight of this week then it was all back to normal after that, well i hope all yall have a great week love y'all, adios

hello mother if you havent sent the packages yet i would like all the ties that are mine like my red, silver paisley ties, my black plain ones if you can find them and my aqua blue one , and guess what i have some great news for yall i have to get braces after my mission because i dont have an over bite and it is dangerous for my roots and my teeth will shift because i am missing a tooth so yeah well this week was great not as good as last but it was good i figured out that i know spanish lol well enough anyways lol. well thats to bad that you lost it but its all good, im glad all is going well for you all, mi companero y yo, estamos mejor ahora no tenemos muchas cosas contra nosotros, well not much really happened, my first baptism moved to new jersey so adios to him :( well got to run now mommy remember i love you have a good week

hello mother hows it going thats awesome that you and dad are going to be teaching together now, well this week was awesome me and my comp are doin better now but there are still just a few more things that i guess both of us could work on to be mo united when it comes to working, well we have the most progressing investigators in the mission and the most scheduled baptisms as well so yup i guess we are doing alright, hey mom i am still struggling with the money thing and my bike doesnt have any lights or reflectors and it is getting dark out and i am afraid i am going to get hit by a car and be killed so if you or dad would be willing to help me out with that that would be awesome, well i am sure dad is going to get even more wackier when all of us boys are gone hahaha well i love you all especially you mommy take care gotta run now hasta luego love you tons bye bye now

yup he actually is getting better now so its getting better, but yeah its true and if he goes backwards it will just show that he hasnt truly changed, but then again i still love playing the drums me and my comp actually every p-day we have a member in our ward that has a nice drum set and a guitar and my comp plays the guitar and we just put stuff together so i still like doing that haha, and i am not going to lie we actually sound good haha. and yeah i do know the scripture its a good one that i hear a lot and it is true i have experienced that in my life here it is tough but we are doing good and it is paying off we have the most progressing investigators and the most set dates in the mission out of all the spanish missionaries so i guess it is paying off by working hard, and yeah Joseph smith went through a lot more than each of us ever will but now we are now seeing the blessings of his desire to just ask a simple question in prayer but then again he had an enormous amount of faith, and just like it says in ether 4 7 we too can see all that the brother of jared saw if we just have the same faith, and yeah one thing i was wondering if you can possibly try and find the conference talks in spanish on CD and send them to me because there is a member in our ward tahe is a spanish teacher and he said it would really help my spanish out so that would be a great help, cuz i am still struggling a bit in spanish then again i am in the only bilingual ward and we do teach a lot of english lessons but i think i will figure it out. well thanks for all the advice dad i gotta get going now. haha me neither mom i am already 5 months out crazy fast well this last week was about it the 60s and 70s so it was nice here, well that still stinks that you are sick still but i have been praying for you to get better but i dont know if that is working, i was also excited when the announced indy getting a temple and it was the only one i heard because we walked in right at the end of announcing them so that was cool. well this week was good i didnt ever think that i was going to watch all 5 sessions of conference ever haha but i did and i was shocked at what i was missing my whole life i really loved the priesthood session as well i really liked the talk about the one when the scorpion bit his foot when he was little and i think that hos message was really good that we should probably not ignore what our parents say haha who would have thought that i would be saying that well i guess that you did try and warn us that we were going to agree with you sooner or later but i guess it happened later haha. and i really just liked the whole conference especially when the prophet spoke its good to know that our prophet still has a great sense of humor. well righ now i am reading the book of mormon for the second time i really didnt feel like it for the last transfer cuz it was tough with my companion and all which i probably should have read more then i finished it for the first time in 7 weeks when i was with elder ramirez i started it about a week into the transfer and i finished about 2 weeks into the next transfer but my goal is to read it once a transfer now until i die but its going to be hard but worth it and it is amazing how much stuff i have learned since reading it huh weird maybe i should have read it earlier huh lol well as for that not much again this week we did set four baptismal dates so i guess that is good lol well thats pretty much it now, and another thing i still need stuff for my bike but i guess i can survive until you are all settled in and have extra money to spare but until then i love you and take care mom

sorry dad ill try and do better at writing you. but i also havent recieved a letter in the mail or anything for probably over a month so i like to here from friends but then again i only here from eric. carlee and moises(who pierced his ears so have miles go over to moses and rip those things out of his ears) and yeah i know i havent had a mountain dew in probably a month and thanks for the reminder on the scripture i use it a lot when we are in lessons. and you know what is funny about the walker texas ranger i have seen the house where they do a lot of the filming for it hahaha its way nice and the neighborhood there is way nice. that area is just north of my area. but yeah i have been there. and i still havent heard from any of your friends yet dad but if hes still looking for me i am in pleasant grove dallas texas, (not so pleasant) well this week we had a great week 17 new investigators, 4 at church, so this transfer we are hoping to baptize about 6-7 people. well thats pretty much it for this week that i can think of but if there comes up any more stuff ill let you know lol well i hope you have a good week this week love you dad

Awesome week

Hello mother have you sent my memory card back cuz i still havent gotten it or it got lost, well anyways thats awesome that aaron hawkins is on his mission i havent seen that kid in so long could you get me his email address so i could send him something well thats cool i heard that the mannings would be playing but the better one took the win hahahaha. i like how miles is always traveling now. its cuz hes all alone without us isnt it haha well we still love him as long as he writes to us. well just you wait and see i will be burning my pants sooner than you think its just so crazy to think that i have been gone for almost five months now it goes by so fast. and Marshall is going to be home in like 9 months it crazy to think about. well this week was amazing we did a mission wide fast to contact 10 people a day for a week (its harder than you think) so we could get our 14 points and everyone but like 15 companionship's accomplished it and the number of new investigators went up 100 in one week and there are going to be more this week because of return appointments so this next week is going to be awesome. well mom if you could when you can send my memory card and other stuff you feel like (money cough cough) well i hope you guys have a good week I LOVE YOU MOMMY have fun :)

To Mom: That’s cool that you went to a WSU game, mom, but kinda weird for you, haha j/k. Hey mom, have you sent my memory card back cuz I still haven’t gotten it or it got lost but oh well. That’s cool that you saw Rueben H. I miss that kid. Well this week was pretty good - lots of new people to teach and this week is going to be better. Well this last Saturday we had a fajita feast and it was awesome. We had some gators there and the food was good. So this week was alright - lots of riding bikes so I was way glad to get my bike back because the other one was just not cuttin it; so there is proof that the Lord takes care of his kids :) haha Miles and his man cave - it is still gonna be there when I come home, right? lol not – I’m gonna turn it into my drum studio!

hahahaha j/k Well that’s pretty much it for this week. Sorry - not a lot of exciting things going on. Just same ol same ol. Well gotta run. I have a time limit on these darn things so adios mi madre. Te amo mucho.

I’m sorry about the ATM thing. ($8 ATM charge!) It was in the MTC, and I didn’t know it would charge me cuz it never did tell me. Well, that is awesome that Miles can go see Shane. Could you send my other flip flops cuando los encuentra, (translation: when you find them), and some other short sleeved shirts quisas (maybe). Well I’m glad that you are finally all moved out of the house, but yeah I guess it will definitely take some getting used to. That is awesome that it doesn’t take that long now to go to the templo (temple). Mi companero y yo, (my companion and I) fuimos a el templo en viernes en la manana (went to the temple Friday morning); fue un muy gran experiencia para mi (it was a very great experience for me). Quiero ir a el templo (I want to go to the temple) cada mes cuando puedo ir a mi casa nuevo (each month when I get to my new house). Pues esta semana (Well this week) tenemos 8 o 9 investigadores (we have 8 or 9 investigators), pero solo dos tienen fechas ser bautisados (but only 2 have baptism dates), pero todo bien (but everything’s good). Well this week was a hot one, but I’m getting along much better now, I think. It’s crazy to think that I have been out here for 3 weeks now; time flies! Hey mom I love you so much :)))))

Well that is awesome that Miles could meet Nicole. She is pretty cool. I sent a package of pictures in the MTC. Did you not get them? Well I am going to print off more pictures for me and then I am going to send my card this week ok? That’s so funny that Marshall can play piano now. I would have never thought that. Well this week we found a few good people we might teach - depends on when they are available, but we will do our best to keep finding those people that are ready for us to teach. Well this week we are going to have a baptism which is great because he totally wants it. It is awesome how fasting helps out so much because I know the Llord will take care of his children. Well I don’t have much time, so I am going to get going now. Sorry if I didn’t write much. Not a lot has happened this week except for the one promising man we are going to baptize. Oh and one more thing: you said you were going to put money oin my card but how much and if you are going to cancel my other card so just let me know if you can :) I love you mommy. Have a good week. Oh and one more thing - after that if you could get me maybe, just a thought, some Josh Groban CD's and possibly some general conference talks in Spanish because it really helps with the Spanish but I don’t have any. Ok, so this week was probably the funnest week so far. First, to start off, about halfway through the week me and my comp were riding down a hill next to the road and we went into the road again. Then I jumped back on the curb and what I didn’t see was a telephone pole and then a bus sign and then the bus bench, so I got past the pole and the sign but I wasn’t so lucky with the bench. So my peddle hit it and I flew like five feet off my bike and almost hit the fence that was close by. But that’s not the weird thing; I flew five feet to the side. It was pretty much the most epic crash I have ever been in. It was awesome, but I did hurt my shoulder a bit. But it was all fun. And then yesterday we had our first baptism. His name is Fred Ramos and he is a stud. He has been doing so great and when we went to the baptism he was really nervous but he did great. And another thing, a family we found about a month ago came to church yesterday and their little kids are crazy, but nursery is great for that problem. But the dad really liked it, but the mom was in nursery the whole time so she told the dad that he is going to be there the next week. So this last week was pretty good I think. It sounds like you are all having fun up there in Pasco. What’s the weather like? Cuz here, this morning, I saw the weather and it was nothing but 102 here for the next week, but there is also the humidity problem. Yeah I got to admit that I have had a few Dews as well; ain’t nobody perfect, haha, and just one Monster, pero eso es toda, yo creo (but that’s all, I

believe) lol. Well I have been on a few exchanges so far, so I am learning a lot from a lot of elders which I guess is the benefit of being the district leader’s companion. That is really great that you have a job already. Because from what I have heard is that it is really hard to find a job right now, so I guess that is what the Lord means when he says that as long as we do our part he will do his and he don’t break his promises. pero tengo ir ahora (but I have to go now), te amo (I love you) mucho mommy, tenga una buena semana (have a good week).

That sounds like you had a fun filled week, haha. You wouldn’t believe how many times Avatar comes up here because of how good it is lol. It’s so weird to think that Lisa Quinn is married now but she’s a nice girl.

I think Satan has really been trying to stop us this week with the 8 flat tires. We had this week 2 en martes (on Tues), 1 en miercoles (Wed), 3 en jueves (Thurs) 1 en viernes (Fri), y 1 ayer (yesterday) and we didn’t even ride yesterday which was stupid. Well that is what happened this week so we didn’t get a whole lot of work done but we kept on going, and I am still working on filling up my camera for y'all haha.

Hello mother you there? Hey mom, sounds like your week was pretty good.

It’s been so long since I have been to a zoo. I don’t even remember being at one. haha that’s cool that the bishop is a dentist. So now I know that some one can do something right (our dentist) j/k haha Well this week I “killed” my comp (sent him home). He’s back home in Cali doing school and stuff like that. My new comp is Elder Astle and he is also from Cali and he only has 3 months left, so I am probably going to “kill” him as well. Mwuahahahahah. Miles would eat something like that (biggest pita ever) lol. So anywhos, about the memory card. You sent me the wrong one - just thought I would let you know haha. So I can’t use it. Oh well, right? Well thanks for the letter anyways. Well yesterday, it was probably the hottest ever and I thought I was going to pass out from dehydration and other stuff like that. And I had a little to much to eat, but on the good side we found 14 new investigators this week just in 2 days. It was awesome. But one of our gators was outside drinkin beer when we got back from a meeting so I’m gonna BALCH him for that. And one word I learned this week in church is a nickname for Satan, you’re gonna love it – crudhead. Haha. Well, love you all and tell my little bro to write me, ok? Ok, well this week was probably the worst week for a missionary. First off, I missed my first zone conference because my comp was sick, so I was in the apt all day. The next day while I was on an exchange over in another area my companion forgot the lock to the bikes. So while I am eating dinner with another elder I get a call from my companion and the other elder tells me that my bike was stolen. So dad, you know that 600 bucks you gave me for a bike, well right now I have no idea where it is.

SORRY. I was really stinkin ticked off. Yeah, I figured when I saw Grant, I kinda figured he wouldn’t go back out, but then again, if he really did want to he would have been healed just like that. Jjust takes a little faith, like this one elder that was out here. He tore his ACL and he was back here in one transfer. Well again, I am really sorry for the bike thing. We called the cops and told them, but for right now a lot of prayers would really be great because if I don’t have a bike the work here doesn’t progress. So all we can do is pray, right? Well the next day after the bike incident my companion who has been in a car thinks that we have to walk every where which is good if there is a good reason behind it, which there wasn’t, so I am getting dehydrated and he just wants to keep going and I told him that I’m done and this is ridiculous we walked six miles for nothing. Nothing good came from that.

I was getting dizzy from the heat and he’s a cross country dude so he can go for long distances but I kinda can’t, so whenever he just wants to do something for no reason we don’t cuz it’s pointless. I mean, yeah, there are good intentions behind his choices, and he doesn’t plan out the area well so we walk or ride from opposite ends of the area and he never brings water so I always have to give him some of mine, so I ;run out fast cuz he has been in a car his whole mission and he just always complains about that too. He always says if we had a car... well we aren’t in a car and there are some things you have to adjust for like bringing a lock for the bike - that would be a great one. Anywhos, well we had a good day at church. A family came that we started teaching about a week ago, and the dad said, what day are you guys coming over next time, and we said, wed, and then he said to me that he might have something for me. Possibly a bike is what he said but I don’t know. He is really awesome so I might be getting a little present this week but then again I still am ticked for losing your money. Catching Up

7-19-10

Yeah, this week was awesome. We found about 8 new investigators so we are teaching them now. That’s awesome you’re just spending time with the family (spending a day shopping together!). Just wish we could have done it a lot more but no biggy. I saw the pics of the house - it looks awesome already. Well, this week we are going to try and see if we can get 2 gators to be baptized before my trainer leaves for home cuz he only has one month left, which stinks, cuz he is awesome and I learn so much from him. So, I guess I am going to just have to use him while I can. It is amazing how much I am learning from the Book of Mormon. I actually started to study it and it is fun; you should tell Miles to start when he has the chance. Yeah, I know. Dad told me to read it at home but I guess it just hits you when you get out here. I guess I have just been missing out all this time. Well Shayanna told me that they are going to try and start a family, maybe, but who knows, right? Well I am going to try and mail my camera card thingy to you this week so you can see all 500 of my pics. Well, the house looks great. I love you all.

haha Yeah i like the way the mission does pictures. Well first to start off one thing really important - if you ever want me to get a package or mail to me you have to send it to the mission home USPS ok or I can’t get it until they see me next so there. My companion is Elder Ramirez.

Yeah I got someone who is amazing at Spanish but I don’t know how long I am going to be with him because he just trains for the 6 weeks and then he trains again so I am his third companion in 3 transfers. But the First Pres has made new changes to everything so they said I might be in my first area for like 6 transfers. Well we have 5 investigators right now but one is moving to Maryland and he said he was going to be baptized on the 18th but not no more; but we have 2 that I think are promising but then again the devil is a jerk. Well I tried to email pictures but this computer is stupid so I will just mail my card when I can. Sound good? :) Well I haven’t had a chance to buy my bike yet so I had probably the worst bike in the world to start with. It doesn’t shift out of 15th gear and the crank is bent (the part the peddle is connected

to) in case you didn’t know. So yeah I have had a rough week but I just went and bought my bike today but I can’t get it till Wed. So I guess I will just have to suffer more with this piece of junk, but then again blessed are they that suffer, right? haha. Yeah, well last week it got to 100 degrees so yeah, this is going to take some getting used to. But because of the hurricane it has been really nice here. But that doesn’t help the bike situation. Hey, well I will try and get the pictures to you as soon as I can. I love you all. I hope you are enjoying Washington because I miss it a lot. Well I love you bunches. Adios. And one more thing. I am in Dallas east area, in the Dallas 10th ward and the ward is the size of Moses Lake and the ward is only like 100 people. Hey mommy, lo siento que tu has sido enfermo esta semana, pero yo se que será mucho mejor mediante el poder de oracion. That’s so cool how Miles is an elder already. Well this week I finally got over my month long cold so I hope you get better. Also this week 9 of the 12 apostles came to a fireside and Elder Oaks talked to us. We also saw Elder Nelson walking around the MTC but I was in my gym clothes so I didn’t want to stink in front of an apostle so I just went and changed. Well this week Jordan Boyce came in and I was his host as well as his companion so that was neat. Nicole left and she said it is really hot in Salt Lake from the email she sent me but I’m glad she’s enjoying the work as much as I am. She said she is working REALLY hard which is good because we need to give it our all in the Lord’s work. Hey mom, whenever you are feeling lonely again just know that you have 2 sons on missions that love you with all their hearts. And sorry that I am going to say what I am going to say but I don’t have money to buy a bike. I told dad that I will be giving him a call about this matter on Friday cuz the district president said I get to call him on Friday about this but I don’t have his number and I kinda need it if I want to call him. I also don’t have money for the baggage fee at the airport; sorry to make your lives even more stressed out but I guess that’s what kids are for right? just kiddin. That’s awesome that work is going good. Hey, dad, one thing that has really just come to me but you might already do this but I don’t know, but one thing that has really helped me is praying together out loud with my comp before bed. I don’t know if you do that with mom but it has really strengthened our relationship. From what I know my flight is on the 5 of July but I don’t know for sure yet but I will let you know as soon as I can. It really is sad to see an elder have to go home from his mission early. Elder Holland said that he never wants to see an elder go home early because he cares so much for missionary work. Hey I don’t have much more time, we got to study and thanks, dad, I hope you enjoyed the fathers day cards I sent if they got there. I really do love you, dad. Thanks dad, I miss you all so much. Yeah that’s funny how Miles fell asleep he had one rough night huh? Lol Well I don’t have enough time to write everyone so I am going to go with snail mail this week and could you send me the new address to the new house so I can send stuff there. I love talking about the atonement too; it is just such a great topic because without it, what is the purpose in life? Huh? Really there would be no point in living if it wasn’t for the atonement. Yeah I pretty much understand everything that I am reading; it is so cool how quick you can learn here. Wow I can’t wait to get down to Dallas and DIE! Yeah last week I went to the temple and it was so hot I almost died but I lived. I can not wait to get out of here; I mean I really like it here, but some of the people are still acting like they are in high school which gets annoying after weeks. Yeah I hope I can get a bike down there. I’m kinda broke right now but I’ll manage I think. Well I only have a minute left so I will just write letters this week cuz a half an hour isn’t enough. That’s awesome that you are almost done moving. Nicole is doing good I think. I see her about everyday so it’s cool. Which Marshall are you talking about cuz I only write my brother Marshall right now? I have met all four of my relatives now. I ran into Seth yesterday which was cool, one spiritual experience I had this week was when I was teaching with my companion in the TRC and it was weird cuz we just were teaching so well together. I think we are getting along a lot better now so I’m glad. A funny experience I had was actually this morning when me and some other elders were throwing a bouncy ball down the halls in the residence halls and it double bounced and hit Elder Allred in the face when it bounced back off the wall. We were on the floor laughing it was so funny!!!! I’m so glad that the family is doing so well. I know it’s harder with 2 elders on missions but I know that you will be blessed immensely. Well I love you all and I’m still waiting for emails, so if you can could you get me Kasey’s email cuz I know you have it cuz you gave it to me so that would be cool cuz Nicole doesn’t know it yet. Yeah I did see Marshall when he got here and he did give me your hug. Well Elder (Chandler) Byington is gone now so now it’s just Marshall (cousin) and Sister Risenmay (cousin) haha until tomorrow. I can’t wait to see Nicole (another cousin) tomorrow. Yeah I know Spanish, duh, jk. Never mind about the razor; I bought one here, ok, so don’t buy one ok. Hey, I don’t think I am going to have enough money for a bike because I have had to get so much stuff here that I need. I got a shot that cost 70 bucks, an electric razor that was 60, a carry on bag that was 30, a Spanish book 20, shorts 20, and some other things that I can’t think of but, yeah I won’t have enough for a bike. Laundry is going good. Yeah I try to study hard. Spanish isn’t so tough. It’s the lessons and teaching that is harder for me. My ankle is fine now; it just hurts a tiny bit. Yeah I get along with my roommates, but you know how everyone is going to have that comp that is going to tick you off sometimes, well I think I found him. Yeah he just doesn’t like the way I can’t focus at all and I think he has a hard time when I want to be with the other comps instead cuz I don’t learn anything from him but I learn so much when I am with the other comps cuz he is so quiet and doesn’t talk and I know that I am supposed to be with him all the time but I want to learn as much as I can in the MTC and he’s just making it harder for me to learn a lot. Yeah I do like both of my teachers; both of them got engaged since we have been here. It’s kinda cool. I don’t know what is going on for the fourth cuz isn’t it a Sunday? Well I love you all so much.

This last week on tuesday we saw Elder Holland come and speak to us and it was so amazing the spirit was so strong in that room and Sunday we watched the Joseph Smith movie which I almost cried on. We went to the temple on Tuesday as well and we did sealings and that was a good experience for us elders.

First week in the MTC

Mi compañero es elder biehl, i am in 5m erastus snow building. i love all the people in my zone it is pretty much the coolest zone ever my p'day is tuesday. we went on the temple walk sunday and took pics of everyone so ill send you those soon, the food is giving me gas lol but its pretty good so far, i hope you had a good mothers day without me there jk yeah i loved being with shane and linda and gavin it was really fun the temple was amazing. well on the first day me and some other elders got stuck in the elevator and we were there for probably 45 minutes it was fun, we made a video on my camera. and that night i ate a serano and it was the hottest thing i have ever eaten. a did run into chandler a lot and it was nice to see someone i know.

Yo primero dio fue muy bien we met up with our district and i made a ton of new amigos it is really awesome here yeah it is tough but it is great i am learning so much right now. i did find chandler we have seen each other a lot and i met sister risenmay as well or however you spell it. but i cant remember natalies boyfriends name let me know or ill just ask around tell mom happy late mothers day for me. well i gotta go now love you so much

Happy Cinco de Mayo

Elder Cameron Goodrich enters the MTC today. What a blessing it is for them to serve. He was able to attend the Salt Lake Temple yesterday and enjoyed it very much. We are anxious to get his first letter.
